Based on the bestseller of the same name by journalist Jeroen Smit, it tells the story of the rise and fall of banker Rijkman Groenink and his bank, ABN AMRO, in three episodes. Because in his time Groenink was a brilliant banker, seen by some in the financial world as a wonder boy. He became chairman of the Executive Board of ABN AMRO, but would succumb to his lofty ambitions and dragged the bank into its trap.
