David Hockney inspired painters with a major discovery that made you look at paintings differently. When the Dutch painter Pieter Athmer discovered that Hockney was going to live in Normandy, his great inspiration was suddenly close by. He decided to create a special painting through which he hoped to meet the man who changed the way he looked at his life. Together with his good friend director Gerardjan Rijnders, they left with that surprise on a road trip from Amsterdam to Hockney in Normandy.
